Since the user interface is detachable from the trip unit, the test technician can place the display on the test set. This allows one person to verify metering accuracy and pickups and results in faster test times.
The unit has a unique Test Mode that allows the test technician to quickly disable protection bands that may interfere with particular tests. Exiting Test Mode automatically restores as-found settings and therefore eliminates the potential risk of improperly restoring these values.
